update @ Nov 29, 2010 - 1530 Hrs GMT:At approximately 1325 Hrs GMT, the SofyLayer Network Operations Center detected
that one of our /20 subnets was being advertised by an ISP in Brazil. This caused routing issues in our data center affecting all customer having services falling in the IP range - 75.125.0.0/20. Our network engineers at the datacenter are working on mitigating the issue and their NOC is working on contacting the Brazilian ISP to correct the problem.
At 1440 Hrs GMT a work around was set in place, which advertised a more specific route.This has resolved all network problems for now and all services are restored to normal.
================================================
@ Nov 29, 2010 - 14:00 Hrs GMT - We are currently seeing some network trouble at our datacenter in the US, because of which an entire subnet is inaccessible.
This has led to an interruption of the level where websites hosted on Windows & Linux servers and the mail services (legacy architecture) are affected.
We are already in contact with the datacenter personnel in order to fix this at the earliest. We shall keep this thread posted with the progress of the resolution.
