Update 3 Aug 2021 12.11 IST

============

We confirmed that it's not due to IPV6 v/s IPV4 issue. Rather, today we tested from our Jio 4g connection with IPv4 IP itself, and the port is blocked. This confirms Jio 4G technically has blocked port 1433, and all the users who face this issue requested to contact their technical staff and ask them to open port 1433 from their network team level, so that you can be allowed using the SQL.

Please note this is a block at ISP level, thus there is nothing we can do. Alternatively, you can check with any other ISP including Airtel we have tested, and it's working fine with them still as it is. Any internet provider, if creates new security changes on their network, it needs to be addressed and fixed by them, as here port 1433 is blocked by Jio 4g as per details shared.

Previous Update

============

As per available information from 1st Aug 2021, some users have faced a database connection issue on port 1433 connective via JIO 4g Internet line.

However, the same users have reported Airtel 4G the same database get connected.

If you are Jio 4G user and facing the same issue, please contact your ISP JIO 4G provider and inform them of your remote database connection use, and ask them to allow port 1433 access.

In the meantime, you can try the same via Airtel 4G connection to see if it works for you too via Airtel 4G.

This is shared as per temporary solution of the issue. However, we are further checking it to verify if anything else we can do on the same. We will keep you updated if we have any more information or update on the same via this same announcement thread.
