Important Update Regarding MSSQL & MySQL Server

This announcement is useful for you only in case you have an active web hosting account on any one of our Windows shared hosting server main ip 67.227.227.188, 109.203.104.22, 213.229.109.146, 67.225.213.191, 209.59.179.205, 67.227.142.163, 67.227.142.77, 209.59.179.25.
This is to inform you that we going to disable remote connectivity allowed on MSSQL and MySQL server on above noted shared hosting web servers on 31st Jan 2011 Monday at 1.00 PM IST thus all customers are required to please make sure to update your connection strings on your web applications for MSSQL and MySQL hostname as “localhost” (without inverted commas) as after 31st Jan 2011 onwards remote connectivity will be not allowed.
This action is being taken in order to increase the overall performance of web server by having all mssql and mysql traffic to be routed using localhost on local server instead of internet.
Customers will not be able to connect remotely to MSSQL and MySQL Server on above noted server ips from 31st Jan 2011 onwards. However you will be able to manage your database using web admin interface for this goto plesk > databases > click on such database > web admin to open web based admin interface to run any SQL queries, if required.
