So if I have a verified email list, can it still have spam complaints? Print

Yes, it can have until you have no past experience to send mailers in the recent past to the same email list.

The reason is that sometimes we verify it using software and assume it's verified now. No, that is not true, since every tool is estimated based on its algo and may not be 100% accurate.

What do you mean by cold mailing?
The term "cold mail" describes the practice of emailing a large number of prospects or companies with the intent of finding a lead.

So if the email recipients are not opted email list (where the email user themselves subscribed to your newsletter) then, even if you find highly targeted email ids the user at his sole discretion can click on the Report as Spam button on their Gmail / Yahoo / Hotmail or any other email service interface to report that email as spam. Sending an email to someone who is not subscribed to your newsletter is called an Unsolicited email, and that is more likely to result in spam complaints.

So if you have an opted list, then you are less likely to have spam issues; however, if you have a verified list or a no-opted list or have no experience in sending mailers to those email IDs in past, then it is more likely to result in spam complaints.

Make sure to follow the guidelines provided at https://weby.casa/bulkemails when sending emails to new email lists and have a proper warmup period rather than sending millions of emails overnight to result in spam issues.
