Best steps to follow to ensure better email security Print

  • 0

  • Reset your email id password
  • Scan your local PCs or Laptops with any 2 leading antivirus.
  • Never have the same password for more than one email id
  • Never use easy to crack password, always use a good strong password. Some of the samples you can see from https://randomkeygen.com/
  • It's advised that you use Plesk Panel inbuilt password reset tool if your emails are on plesk panel screenshot at https://share.getcloudapp.com/JruGQJg4 for that first you need to click on Generate button and then after clicking on Show button to see the Plesk generated random secure password and save that password safe with you somewhere securely.
  • Never use any pirated OS/software as software / OS is hacked by cybercriminals and you can't imagine where they have left any malware or virus in those pirated copies of OS or software.
  • No antivirus can guarantee you a 100% clean computer so if you have an antivirus it doesn’t mean it can't get virus or malware infection. As not anyone protects you with 100% malware or viruses. So always advice you to scan computers with 2 leading antivirus specially when you facing email security or any related issues.

Some of the malware scanners (free versions) are:

McAfee Stinger - https://www.mcafee.com/enterprise/en-in/downloads/free-tools/stinger.html
Malwarebytes https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/thankyou/
Norton Power Eraser https://support.norton.com/sp/static/external/tools/npe.html
Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT) https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=9905
