You shall be aware of a few things when asking for GST Exemption under the export of services. We accept overseas payments in the following conditions only:
- Overseas payments are accepted via credit card only (easy and convenient compared to SWIFT transfers).
- The client shall provide a valid and correct foreign address.
- The card used by the client must be an out-of-Indian banker.
- Card currency of payment should be any other currency than INR.
- We don’t accept overseas bank wire transfers until the client agrees to bear the bank charges as our fee is a smaller amount, and there can be approx—20 USD bank fees.
- If your bank/agency sends payment using NEFT or RTGS and that is sent in INR currency, then as per GST norms, you are not eligible for GST exemption. As per norms, service export shall have a trade with foreign currency remittance.
- There is no bank fee when overseas payments using an international credit card.
If you agree to the above-noted conditions, then please send an email to support@webji.services and mention the requirement of an updated proforma Invoice with GST exemption.
These rules and norms are based on taxation requirements, and the purpose of this kb article is to make you aware of the same.
