Every time you make an online transaction it goes like this:
You make payment > Confirmation goes to payment gateway > That comes to Webji > We capture the amount and the amount is credited to our account.
Sometimes what happens is in between the above-mentioned path if due to any network issue or any internet line or related technical issue if the complete process does not happen then the amount gets stuck, the situation is called an AUTHORIZATION HOLD in online payment system terms.
Now, what happens?
1. Either in 3-4 days' time if the amount is shown as "Authorized" in our merchant account with payment gateway then we can capture it or we can decide to not capture it so that system can auto-refund that back to your bank account.
2. But sometimes more complex situation happens where the amount is not even showing as "Authorized" in our merchant account with payment gateway in such situation the amount is on "Temporary Hold" with your banker, wait or 7-10 days if after 10 days amount yet not credited and Webji team confirmed you that the amount is not with us then the only solution is to contact your banker and inform them of the situation and words mentioned by Webji team. Your banker will verify the hold and will release it from their side.
Please note that at Webji we also make payments and sometimes we get similar issues with our vendors and here is a screenshot of one of our recent cases where we emailed our current ac holder HDFC BANK and they released the refunds from their side and confirmation came from email at https://share.getcloudapp.com/d5u6ZE4Y
Above all, since these are banking payments nobody can keep that without service. If it's with your banker they have to refund or if it's with your merchant then you can verify that via email at support@webji.services and our team can confirm its status after checking with our merchant account.
Please note that such cases are rare but since it's a technical world anything can happen so this article is created for a better understanding of our users who may not be that technically aware of the online payment flow and rare errors or related issues.
